The Clay County Sheriff's Office provides crime prevention and law enforcement services to Clay County, Fla., and maintains an operations center in Orange Park, Fla. It has administration, detention and operations bureaus. The office also has a detective division that intervenes in cases of robbery, homicide, burglary, auto theft, forgery, child abuse, domestic violence, and white collar and sex crimes. In addition, the Clay County Sheriff's Office maintains a special operations division that includes a Special Weapons and Tactics team, crossing guards, hostage negotiators, and traffic, communications, marine, dive and juvenile crime units. The Clay County Sheriff's Office offers various personal safety programs in cases on domestic violence, car seat safety, and abduction and rape prevention.
