      For over 100 years, Witty's is a name families have trusted and respected for funeral and cremation services for generations. Founded in 1910 by John A. Witty, he owned the funeral home until 1956 when his son, Erle C. "Brud" Witty took over. Brud sold the funeral home to James F. O'Connor on January 1, 1976. On October 13, 2004, Jim sold to Jeffrey G. Cole, the current Director and lifelong resident of Orange. Jeff has received numerous local and state awards for his commitment to families and the communities of the North Quabbin region.With care and concern, Witty's Funeral Home takes great pride in serving all faiths in the communities of the North Quabbin region.       My mother in law passed away in Athol and being from California, we were unaware who to call when a neighbor suggested to Witty's. Jeff Cole provided immediate guidance and helped us with all the necessary planning. He did not try to push any "package deals" but instead knows the value of "old fashion customer care". After our return to California, and talking to others, we realized how fortunate we were to not be taken advantage of and truly celebrate my mother in law's life the way we wanted. We strongly recommend using Witty's in their time of need. Steve & Evelyn K. California

      Witty's Funeral Home, and Mr. Cole especially, helped us a great deal in burying our 12 year old daughter. Much compassion by he and his staff.
