She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1979 with a BS degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked at an outpatient clinic in Gary, Indiana after college, being exposed to patients with a variety of industrial and traumatic hand injuries and became interested in pursuing hand therapy. She was one of the first therapists to pass the Hand Therapy Certification Examination in 1990 and has attended numerous conferences on therapy for the hand and upper extremity. She likes the close communication with the physicians at OSI which helps to promote improved patient care. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, training her dog, quilting and crafts, camping and traveling with her family.
