Orange Beach Police Department protects the lives and property of residents against criminal activities. Its administrative division provides information regarding police matters and police-related enquiries. Its communication division is responsible for radio and telephone communication, as well as the National Crime Information Center and Arizona Criminal Justice Information System communications activities. The division is also responsible for emergency and nonemergency calls for police and fire services. Its corrections division cares for and houses persons arrested and sentenced by the court system. Its investigations division is responsible for processing the crime scenes, photographing and documentation of evidence, interview of witnesses and interrogation of suspects. Its marine division conducts investigations of marine-related thefts. The division assists boaters with medical and rescue emergencies.
