The Lee County Board of Education accepts applications and nominations for the position of superintendent of Lee County Schools. The board also approves the technology committee s recommendations for several middle schools. Lee County Schools operates various elementary, middle and high schools that enroll students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers a range of programs, including professional development and Indian education. The district serves more than 7,000 students in over 10 schools. Its schools also provide nursing care, as well as health services to various students. The district features a transportation department that includes nearly 100 bus drivers.
