I will be a senior this year at East Hamilton. I just moved here in February and am more than disappointed with this school. The teachers don't teach and complain all the time or even txt...I'm going to say that again.. TXT instead of teach. There is no discipline at ALL and kids are being picked on all the time. There is even issues with teachers.. I could name some..the teachers pick on the students and have favorites. The drama with this school is outrageous. There is no learning being done. I have sat through whole class periods doing nothing but sitting in my chair while teachers prepare for the next class. Lunch is also only 20 minuites and there is no room in the cafeteria for everyone to eat. The list could go on and on but I would strongly recommend you NOT send your kid here.

Definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this school to anyone at anytime! New building doesn't mean what is inside and what goes on inside is good at all! BULLYING is a huge issue from day 1 and continues today. Experienced firsthand, left the school, and still continues at my home by the same girl who is always present, but never has anything to do with it. Many students have experienced this. No discipline! Favorites! Students' behavior is horrible. Overcrowded because hundreds of students attending from out of the school zone and across the Georgia line. (Can name them!) Many paid to attend. Many of these are athletes on teams that should have students in the school zone on them. Would recommend home schooling before attending here.

still upset about the kids picking on my child but i have to say the middle school vice princ. is very very nice and caring made me feel better i believe her when she said she would handle it thank you very very much

very upset with school my son is getting picked on by the whole class because a teacher told her class that this student did not do their homework because they do not have cable or internet. which the teacher already new that i just got divorced and a single mom of three kids and i wrote every teacher a note explaining this but this teacher still felt that she had to let the class know. now kids walk by my child sayin hey poor kid what do you do if you dont have tv do you have lights and food kids are mean mean my child comes home everyday crying BULLING OFFER TO STOP

Very disappointed in the school. I know it's a new school but they seem to only focus on sports. The drama club & other clubs don't seem to get any attention. They aren't even on the website. The only way the students knows what is happening is to listen fully to the long long annoucements which includes the middle & high together. I feel that this is more of a middle school than a high school. The high school has been forgotten. I worry that the juniors won't even have a prom or any dances. The middle school seems to get everything first. It is crazy since the juniors only have a short time in the school and should be the focus. For the teachers, some are fine. The others are negative & seem to think that if a student isn't getting it that it's the student's fault instead of trying a new approach. The teachers are not happy about giving extra help. My child is a good student and comes home depressed about how much the teachers complain!!! My child just wants them to teach.
