Provided by YP.comBeen like 14 years since I have left the area, and now returned. Went back to Brooks, still the same great taste and wallpaper [LOL]

Provided by YP.comThe chicken/ribs at Brook's BBQ fundraisers is always great and when in the area, we try to stop in to the restaurant. Our visit on August 21 might be our last. The chicken, usually juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly was dry, bland, and black/burnt. I realize good bbq has char but this chicken was unlike any we have had from Brook's. We even mentioned this to the server but she basically shrugged her shoulders and stated everyone has different tastes. Really. The pulled pork was dry and lacked that richness pulled pork has. It was only made satisfactory by mixing in the small container of bbq sauce provided on the side.
The homemade mini loaf of bread was fresh and delicious as was the mac salad. The salad bar is simple (iceberg lettuce, usual toppings/dressings, pasta salad & coleslaw) but fresh and tasty.

Hooray ! Our favorite restaurant has Gluten Free options including the delicious chicken BBQ. Very few restaurants have GF options and we so miss eating out. Thank you!!

Provided by YP.comDecent fare, very low prices. So don't expect a full salad bar if you're only paying $8 for your meal. It's always crowded, and service is spread thin. If you have a group and want to get fed fairly quickly at a good price, come on in. If you're looking for fine dining don't bother. The chicken marinade is great if a bit salty and consistency is sometimes a problem (sometimes perfect, sometimes dried to oblivion). Kid friendly.

Provided by YP.comDon't eat inside! Their food is amazing but their customer service is horrible. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and the waitress even forgot our daughter's dinner! I was really disappointed. We have gotten our food "to go" quite a few times before and decided to stay a while this time. Big mistake. You'd think for being so popular they would atleast hire decent staff!!!

Provided by YP.comthis is a great place do not listen to any negative comments. i know when food is good. come here uwill not regret it. this place has been passed down to many generations, so it has to be good. Even famus people have been there such as; hillary clinton.
Very good BBQ chicken all year long. Excellent ribs too. Chicken BBQ is not traditional tomato based sauce, more like a speedie sauce. Chicken has always been juicy and tender - I haven't had a dried out piece yet. Also has EXCELLENT chicken wings - sauce is not traditional hot sauce/butter combo. More smoky flavor with a bite of heat at the end.

Provided by YP.comBrooks bbq was gross.i wouldnt even call it bbq just meat dipped in a nasty syrup. im not really sure whats in there bbq sauce but its nothing i would ever want to eat again. the sauce was like corn syrup mixed with pineapples that had gone bad. the rest of the food wasnt that great either. the salad bar was poor. it was very empty and what was there looked like it had gone bad. the service was ok nothing to write home about. i know its a local favorite but take it from some one who visited the area stopping off at McDonalds and getting the McRib would have been a better meal.
