The Oak is the kind of place that is not appealing for its dark and dingy decor, but rather for its eclectic customers, stiff drinks, and good looking bartenders (I didn't say "friendly service," however). The characters: artists, bohemians, slam poets, bikers, and musicians. Its a bit gritty, but its definitely home base to a lot of interesting folk.
