Alternatives Food Products manufactures a variety of butter- and margarine-portioned items for commercial and institutional consumption. It is a part of the Alternatives Work Center Rehabilitation Program. The program includes a recycling center that caters to the needs of the residents of Madison County in New York. In addition, it specializes in electrical and mechanical manufacturing and assembling operations. The Alternatives Work Center Rehabilitation Program is administered by Madison Cortland ARC, which was formed by the merger of the Arc of Cortland County and Madison County ARC in 2001. The nonprofit organization offers a range of nursing and medical solutions. It also provides occupational, speech and physical therapy services.
