Shore Health Services is an integrated health care system that serves residents throughout Virginia s Eastern Shore. It operates Shore Memorial Hospital, a 140-bed hospital with a skilled nursing facility, psychiatric services unit, maternal and child health unit and intensive care and emergency departments, as well as a radiology department and cancer center. The system also operates health care facilities in Parksley, Accomac, Cape Charles, Oak Hall and Onley, Va. Shore Health Services opened its first hospital in 1928 and is based in Nassawadox, Va. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and licensed by the Virginia Department of Health.
