In 2008, my car club received a letter that we would not be invited back to host the Labor day car show after an 8 year relationship that consistently brought in the most cars of three clubs hosting car shows. When asked for an explanation we were told was that the car show event was being reorganized. Yet, continued the same format for the shows except for a cycle show. In 2009, they are back to a three car show format. Our club's competing show brought in 124 cars.We opened up our car show to all cars. Septemberfest wouldn't invite any car they considered manufactured "outside of the USA". We asked many times for the change because the future car show attendees are buying more "Japan-based" vehicles We know their reasoning was false because the majority of these brands bought by Americans are now being manufactured in the USA. Due to their strong union support they told us that they wouldn't. Security has becom a problem with a shooting in 2008 at Septemberfest.
