Founded in 1973, King Science and Technology Magnet Center is a learning center that specializes in science-based courses. The center provides educational services to students in grades five through eight. It conducts classes in a variety of subjects, such as biology, astronomy, engineering, zoology, chemistry, earth science and physics. It offers a range of sports activities that includes basketball, swimming and wrestling. King Science and Technology Magnet Center also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts fundraising programs and special activities. The school s facility features a planetarium, library and science laboratory. In addition, it provides guidance, counseling and medical care. It offers various extracurricular activities, including art, physical education, and instrumental and vocal music. The school provides Spanish and French as foreign languages. King Science and Technology Magnet Center, located in Omaha, Neb., is a part of Omaha Public Schools.
