Jefferson Elementary School is a part of Omaha Public Schools and is located in Omaha, Neb. In addition to regular classroom instruction, the school has English as a Second Language, special education resource and speech therapy programs. It maintains various school organizations, including a chorus, band, strings, honor roll, safety patrol and student council. The school has a parent-teacher association that sponsors educational and social programs that compliment the classroom curriculum. It maintains a library media center that offers a collection of business and company databases, magazines, journals, newspapers and online research links for additional resources. Established in 1924, Jefferson Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six.
