Within three months of moving to Nebraska from Omaha, my husband left the kids and me when they were four years old and 18 months. My four-year old son who is ADHD and has obsessive-compulsive disorders was extremely distraught and was having difficulty dealing with the divorce. I had just started a new job and did not have health insurance but I knew he needed help and did not know where to turn so I called the Child Saving Institute. For a minimal fee, my children and I met with a wonderful counselor who helped get us through this very depressing and scary time.
This is the most deceptive orginization in Omaha! I placed a child for adoption throug them and was NOT told that open adoption is NOT legally binding in the state of Nebraska, nor was I told that the adoptive parents could terminate the open adoption agreement at any time for any reason. Had I known these two very important things I NEVER would have signed relinquishment papers. They are not here to help women with unplanned pregnancies, but are here to help adoptive parents gain what they so desperately want, a child, no matter what has to be done to acquire that child. As far as rating them, they don't deserve even half a star, there should be a way to give them a negative rating, because that is what they most richly deserve. This, of course, is only my humble opinion and I will continue until the day I die tellin peopel what CSI is truly all about!Only because I have to am I giving them a star!
