General Info
A United Automatic Doors & Glass is a family owned business consisting of three generations of Glaziers and Automatic Door professionals. The company was founded by Jim and T.J. Hannum October 1, 1997 as A United Glass and Construction. Jims father, Eddie was a Journeyman Glazier and is how Jim became interested in the glass business. Jim attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and after spending two years at the University of Nebraska Omaha in the Architecture and Design Program, he followed in his fathers footsteps and went into the construction trades. He subsequently became an apprentice and earned his Journeymans credentials to become a Journeyman. After seven years of quality service to the community, TJ and Jim established a niche in the automatic door industry. Stanley Access Technologies Inc. of Farmington, CT., recognized A Uniteds expertise in customer satisfaction and in the Automatic Door niche. Stanley Access Technologies, awarded A United Glass and Construction a Distributorship to supply, install, service and repair Stanley Doors. To reflect this business niche and expertise, T.J. and Jim Hannum decided to change their name to, A United Automatic Doors & Glass, Inc. And in 2004 their name was officially changed to A United Automatic Doors & Glass.

I own Sgt. Peffer's, these folks have the best employees, starting with the receptionist, the guys in the shop, the installers....I've nevr bought a complete package, ie, a door and frame/closer, but they work on my existing stuff like I bought it from them. This is customer service that is getting harder and harder to find in this "it all pays the same" intellect that pervades our business climate these days. Thanks United.
