As in past years, your recognition of U.S military men and women on Veteran's Day is an awesome tribute - I believe I speak for every veteran and active duty military personnel when I say "THANK YOU" !! I was at the Applebee's in West Olympia last Thursday, and although I love their food and it is usually really good, I had a horrible lunch. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken & Shrimp, it came with sauted onions and mushrooms. It was just awful! I didn't taste any Bourbon sauce or anything flavoring whatsoever, and the onions and mushrooms were like scorched. A word of advise, don't order this. Maybe they had a new cook, or a fill in cook, but I will never order this again. My friend ordered the Bourbon Steak and she said hers was awful also. I can't find a contact site to email this restaurant directly, but they need to know what a disappointed our lunch was. I normally love their food, but this was awful! I will go back, just order something else the next time.

As the restaurant was very full we were asked if we would mind setting at the bar. We said no, and were delighted to watch the young lady that was working. She took all of the orders from people at the bar for food, kept checking back to see if we were ok, and filled all the drinks for the entire restaurant. I didn't see one drink returned. She was just magic in motion. And she did all this with a smile on her face, and pleasant conversation. You are to be commended, the food was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and she was delightful to have as a wait person.

HORRIBLE!! Service stinks, Took forever! There were bugs all over the window ledge near my son. Food was cold. Drinks were never refilled, order was wrong, we were over charged.Would not recommend this place to my worst enemies. It was the worst dining experience of my life!!
