Pioneer Trail Junior High School serves more than 625 students. Established in 1986, the school offers various courses in art, family and consumer science, industrial technology, mathematics, health, business, music, social studies and physical education. Its health classes offers information on AIDS, nutrition, social development and drugs. The school s language arts program includes the study of literature, composition, vocabulary and other communication skills. Its technology courses offer an array of opportunities to explore the areas of video production, electronics, robotics, computer-aided drafting, digital design and computer animation. The school also offers a variety of clubs, service organizations and extracurricular activities. Its sports programs include cheerleading, track, volleyball and football.
