As a Certified Arborist, I have over 30 years of experience as an advocate for the responsible care of trees in the Gig Harbor - Kitsap Peninsula and Pierce County area. My introduction to the field of arboriculture began in 1975 with the internationally renowned Davey Tree Expert Company. During my tenure, I received extensive field and technical training. I attended the Davey Tree Institute of Tree Sciences, the countrys oldest and most prestigious commercial tree care institution, graduating third in my class. I am both a Certified Arborist, PN-0970 and a Certified Tree Risk Assessor, #244 under the thorough examination of the International Society of Arboriculture. I have maintained these distinguished credentials up to the present through continuing education, active involvement as a member of the ISA and participating in ISA sponsored events. I have been a resident of the Peninsula area since 1977 and live with my family in Olalla. I am available to address the tree and shrub care concerns of municipal departments, home-owners, commercial businesses, land developers and property managers. My business is licensed and insured. Hugh certified by the International Society of Arborists and holds the credentials of ISA Certified Arborist and ISA Certified Tree Risk Assessor. When a company says they have an arborist on the staff, ask if they are certified by the ISA.
