I adopted a lab mix puppy from this shelter. One week later, she developed a severe staff infection in her respitory system. She received Clavamox from a vet. Unfortunatley, the bacteria was so strong, it was resistant to Clavamox, Doxycycline and Amoxicillin. The infection became pneumonia in her lungs and bacterial arthritis in her legs. We finally put her on augmentin and she seems to be doing better. It's been about 2 weeks. I know two other families who adopted from this shelter. One puppy had the same symptoms as mine but her vet had her put to sleep, fearing that she had the canine distemper virus. The other family ended up with a puppy that developed bordetella (kennel cough). My vet told me that my puppy's bacterial infection takes about 7 days to show symptoms. The pup was sick EXACTLY one week after I took her home!!! I called this facility and they did not even take my name or APOLOGIZE. All the operator was concerned with was proving to me the facility could not be held liable
