Ann's Chicken Fry is a great local landmark. They have been in business for almost as long as there was a Route 66 that went cross-country through Oklahoma City. Their trademark "Chicken Fry" or chicken fried steak is without question the finest I have ever eaten - anywhere. They have excellent quality food at reasonable prices and both kids and adults really seem to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. It is a nostalgic reminder of earlier times when Route 66 was the main cross-country thoroughfare. While it may be one of the best kept local "secrets" it is obvious by all the signed photos of visiting dignitiaries and former debutantes on the walls that the word is out this is a pretty special place to eat while one is visiting the Oklahoma City area.

50's feel, and a sweet pink car out front...this is by far the best place to get a chicken fried steak in OKC. Become a regular and they'll treat you like gold.
