General Info
Brookside Animal Hospital was established in 1960 at the corner of 12th Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden, Utah by Dr. Eric Isaacson and Dr. I.G. Liljenquist. Designed to accommodate both large and small animals, the facility originally included horse and cow chutes to the west of the building. Following the untimely death of Dr. Isaacson in 1965, Dr. Liljenquist limited the practice to small animals. Dr. Frank Markos received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1967 and joined the practice at that time. Dr. Markos became a full partner in January of 1969. The partnership between Dr. Markos and Dr. Liljenquist continued until 1994 when Dr. Markos became the sole owner following Dr. Liljenquist's retirement. Dr. Kathryn Penrod joined Brookside following completion of her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2000 and became owner following Dr. Markos's retirement in 2004. Dr. Eleanor Jenson joined the practice in 2004 and Dr. Stacey Henderson in 2006, both are graduates of Colorado State University. In 2007, a partnership consisting of Drs. Markos, Penrod, Jenson, and Henderson was formed with the goal of constructing a modern veterinary facility. Construction is now complete on the northeast corner of 7th Street and Wall Avenue. The new facility will accommodate the growth Brookside has experienced over the past years and allow us to continue to provide up-to-date medicine and surgery for our patients and increased comfort and convenience for our clients. We want to especially thank our wonderful clients and exceptional staff for their support in this project. Please join the Brookside team in our new facility, beginning July 1, 2008.

Dr hendersen was just a vet tec. When we met. Dr penrod was the originally the dvm then. My pit had contracted parvo. This usually kills dogs more often than not. The whole clinic and our extended family worked hard to keep hello alive and happy. Depression from not being home was very hard on him. Dr hendersen remembers him like her own. The love from all involved was amazing. He was 11 years old when he was put down for health issues. Since then every dog since then have gone to this clinic for care. We were there when the moved from 12th to 7th on wall in Ogden. My children have grown up bringing their pets here also. My dog Sophie now goes to Dr Henderson. I made a mistake and took her to a different clinic due to the fact that it was cheaper. I will never stray again. The love and support is worth the few extra dollars I pay for Brookside to keep her in top shape. I know the prices for all her appointment entails and work within our budget. Dont go somewhere else to save a few dollars. The health and price of mind for you and your pet deserves it.
I will only take my babies to BrookSide, They have gone above and beyond to help me with my little Goose. The care they gave him in surgery as well as keeping me updated was amazing. Thank you for all you ladies do! Sandy F
