- Wills
- Power of AttorneyThe Texas Probate Code provides for the distribution of the estate of a person who dies without a will. However, intestate distribution is often more expensive than probating an estate through a well drafted Will. Wills enable clients to choose the guardians of their minor children, the administrators of their estates, and to establish trusts for young beneficiaries and those with special needs. A thorough estate plan may include inter vivos trusts, a Will (with testamentary trusts as may be necessary), directive to physician, powers of attorney, and designation of guardian. These plans are developed to minimize probate expenses and state and federal estate and gift taxes, and preserve estate assets.
