  Business associates: There are some services provided in our organization through contact with business associates. Examples include physician services in the emergency department and radiology, certain laboratory test and a copy service we use when making copies of your health record. When these services are contracted we may disclose your health information to our business associate so that they can perform the job we’ve asked them to do and bill you or your third-party payer for services rendered. To protect your health information, however, we require the business associate to appropriately safeguard your information.

  An echocardiogram, often called an “echo”, is simply an ultrasound of the heart. Using highly sophisticated ultrasound technology, a “motion picture” of the heart is generated. Through the use of this technology, a cardiologist is able to access such things as the size of the heart, its pumping capacity, heart valve function, the presence of blood clots or tumors, accumulated fluid around the heart, etc. Highly-trained and experienced Cardiovascular Technologists will help make this a comfortable, informative, and interesting procedure for patients of CFHC.

  We are pleased to offer nuclear stress testing utilizing state-of-the-art ADAC nuclear imaging systems. For the comfort and safety of our patients, both exercise and pharmacologic (Adenosine/Dobutamine) nuclear stress testing is available. Nuclear stress testing may be used to determine such things as the adequacy of the blood supply to the heart, the pumping capacity of the heart, as well as an individual’s response to exercise, etc. At CFHC, all stress tests are performed under the supervision of the patient’s cardiologist. In addition, licensed nuclear medicine technologists and clinical support staff also play an integral role in assuring that our patient’s have a positive experience while in the nuclear stress laboratory.
