Its facilities include a golf club, tennis center and sports complex. The department offers therapeutic programs, special events and sports activities for youths and adults. The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department maintains aquatic, science and outdoor centers for city residents. Its Ocala Regional Sportsplex features horseshoe pits, playgrounds, picnic shelters, basketball and volleyball courts, and football, softball and soccer fields.
