The Office of Motor Carrier Compliance, also known as OMCC, has been in operation since 1980. The office specializes in law enforcement and weight inspection services. It also performs safety checks for commercial vehicles. The Office of Motor Carrier Compliance works for providing a safe transportation system to the residents of the state of Florida. The office conducts more than 125,000 inspections annually. It is also responsible for the protection of the highway system and bridges in Florida. The office administers a variety of highway beautification programs. In addition, the Office of Motor Carrier Compliance operates Memorial Marker, Adopt-A-Highway, and pedestrian and bicycle programs.
