Inspired by his father’s artistic precision and science, Dr. Thomas Harter sought to become a dentist at an early age. He has been serving the Ocala area with over 20 years of expertise. Pursing his dental career, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After school, Dr. Harter proudly enlisted into the Marine Corps to further his clinical and professional experience. He was stationed at Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland for his general practice residency. Once completed, he became a Dental Officer at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, serving the 22nd Dental Company for three years. As a Dental Officer, he supervised a six-month tour in the Mediterranean Ocean and Adriatic Sea to treat Marines. Dr. Harter blends traditional medicine with therapeutic methods to combat the painful symptoms of TMJ. He understands that stress-related reactions can provoke TMJ. Affected by the mechanics of the jaw, his innovative abilities have helped relieve TMJ suffers’ pain. Dr. Hater’s Comprehensive Dental Care offers services such as night guards to biofeedback and behavior modification as solutions. Dr. Harter considers continuing education an important and integral part of his development as a dentist. He is enrolled into New York University Dental School with Brookdale Hospital to further his knowledge within dental implants. He is also an active professional member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
