  Anything that causes pain in people can be expected to cause pain in animals. Pets may not show the same symptoms of pain as people do; they usually don't whine or cry, but you can be sure they feel it. Pain medications needed will depend on the surgery performed. Major procedures require more pain relief than things like minor lacerations. All pain medications are based on species and weight.

  Dentistry: Our comprehensive dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental radiology, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. During February, June and October of every year, we have a promotion in which you get 20% off the total cost of your pet's dental cleaning! Please call our office in advance as availability is limited during promotion month.

• Spaying and Neutering
  Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. A physical exam by one of our veterinarians and up-to-date vaccinations are required at the time of surgery. Also, a pre-anesthetic blood screen is recommended prior to undergoing anesthesia and surgery. You will also be given the option to microchip your pet.

  We offer three levels of in-house blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in. Our doctors prefer the most comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests or x-rays may be required before surgery.

• Microchipping
  While your pet is under anesthesia, it is the ideal time to perform other minor procedures, such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, or implanting an identification microchip. Ask our technicians about the benefits of microchipping your pet. Most shelters and pet hospitals have a microchip scanner so they can identify and reunite you with your pet. Please be advised that microchipping your pet can help identify them when the chip is scanned, but a microchip is
