- **Faculty**Our instructors are chosen for their educational expertise, should Biblical theology, consistent walk with Christ, and years of proven ministry experience. Their dedication is unprecedented.**Classroom**The classroom provides the bridge between an exciting learning environment and practical application in our urban communities. Unique insight into academic approaches for reaching urban communities occurs when students from diverse ethnic and church backgrounds interact during SUM classes.**Real Life Situations**We believe that no school can adequately prepare men and women for front line ministry without first exposing them to the stresses and pressures of real life situations. The student ministry program at SUM is designed to provide real life ministry experience. Each week students feel the pain of lost humanity and learn to deal with a multitude of urban issues from a Biblical perspective.**Mentoring**Each student has the privilege of co- laboring with SUM faculty, local pastors and ministers directly impacting our urban communities with the Gospel. This mentoring provides a vital opportunity for students to glean insight and practical experience from those who are on the cutting edge of urban ministry.
