- At a recent National Symposium Mike spoke saying, ?Chiropractic definitely helps musculoskeletal injuries. It is our special province. However, many chiropractic patients that came to us with auto and work injuries soon find that they have improvements in chronic problems they thought they would have to live with for life. Don?t get me wrong, Chiropractic is not a panacea that solves all the health ills of the world, but to avoid a lifetime of drug dependence, dangerous surgeries, or being told to ?live with it? the public needs to be better informed that there are alternatives. The best way to do that is to inform our patients. Challenge them to help friends that are suffering needlessly. Every doctor in this room should make certain that every patient understands that we will gladly help their family and friends realize Our Patient Pledge, ?If we find we cannot help the patient with our care we will help that patient find someone who can help.? Perhaps the greatest ki ndness our patients could ever show a friend or loved one is to help relieve a tormenting, debilitating health condition.? Dr. Mike believes in the team approach. When he is your personal doctor, you have his expertise and the expertise of his network of complimentary practitioners of acupuncture, massage, energy work, Alexander technique, pain management, psychotherapy, Rolfing, nutrition, Yoga and fitness coaches. BRAND When you hear this dedicated doctor talk of his commitment to the health improvement of his patients and all Oakland residents you feel like standing beside him in helping all those in the community. General Info
Meet Dr. Mike Wong Mike Wong was a student at University of California at Berkeley and an avid skier. He was injured in an accident and was told by another discipline of the healing arts that he could not ski for six weeks. His girl friend suggested checking with her Chiropractor and he did. The Chiropractor said he could be on the slopes in two weeks. He followed the Chiropractor?s recommendation and indeed was skiing as promised. Not only that, but he found that a chronic stomach ailment was also greatly improved. Mike thought, ?This is for me!? He immediately changed majors to allow a career as a Chiropractor. He enrolled in and was accepted by the prestigious Palmer Chiropractic College in Sunnyvale CA, where he focused his training on x-ray analysis, specific adjusting, automobile, and work injuries. Upon graduating he opened his office in Oakland where he maintains his current office. Mike is married to Nan, a labor and delivery nurse, and has two teenagers, Tra cy and Eric. He is active in his community and a big advocate of camping and other outdoor activities. AMENITY * Over 20 Years Experience * Free Parking * Handicap Accessible
