Based in Oakland, Calif., the Carpenter Funds Administrative Office oversees the Taft-Hartley Benefit Funds for members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America throughout the northern California counties. The funds administered by the organization provides health, retirement, vacation and training benefits to more than 50,000 plan participants and additionally provides benefits to over 1 million dependents. Its Carpenter Health and Welfare Trust offer contributing employers a flat rate health plan for the employer's full time clerical and nonbargaining office employees. The Carpenter Funds Administrative Office s members are also represented by the Northern California Carpenters Regional Council and its various affiliated local unions.
