Provided by ThryvAs a parent it is crucial to feel good about a daycare choice for your child. My son 1st attended a corporate daycare and due to certain circumstances we decided to search for a new daycare. My husband and I came across a recommendation from a parent at a park in conversation that thier kids attend ivy hedge after several different tries at other daycare.
From the 1st phone call to set up an interview with ivy hedge we were very impressed. Cindy walked us through the transition and made it very easy. From the minute we 1st visited it felt very warm and welcoming. We then went a second time to show our son his new school and felt the warmth and loving environment once again. We were able to meet the owner Melissa whom was reassuring and just gave off a warm , gentle, calming feeling. Then there is the main teacher Karlie. She is very positive and showed excitement to have our son in her class and stood outside on his 1st day just to make him feel comfortable. There is so much more I could write in just 1 week of interacting with ivy hedge. In just 2 days our son no longer fights with us about going to daycare , he doesn't cling an hang on to us not to go. He wakes up excited to go. He says I want to go see miss Karlie and the kids. Just the change in his feeling was enough to tell us we made the right decision to switch him from the old care to ivy hedge. We highly recommend this place. The feeling in undescribable when u can have peace of mind knowing your child is taken care of as you would do in your own home.

Provided by ThryvBoth of my children attend/ed Ivy Hedge for their first schooling and both excelled both educationally and emotionally. Ivy Hedge pours love and resources into the kids and has special events at the school, sports, arts, music resources and a safe environment to learn in. My kids love it there and I am nothing short of super pleased with the staff, management and overall education my kids have received.

Provided by ThryvThis is going to be a long review, just a heads up!
Before coming to IvyHedge, my daughter was in another daycare. As this is my first experience with receiving childcare, I expected her to be upset in the beginning at drop off's. She would scream and cry blocks away as soon as she realized where we were going. I had to incorporate an extra fifteen minutes into my morning as I knew I would have to sit with her and calm her down and run out the door the second she turned her back. She would latch onto me and dig her nails into me, begging me not to go. It was so difficult leaving her there. This daycare had an app where pictures were uploaded throughout the day. In every picture her face was swollen or you could tell she had just been crying. They put children in time out for crying, for eating their food before others got their food, for getting off of their mats at nap time.
All of this to say how different of an experience we have had with IvyHedge. My daughter was hesitant at the beginning as I believe she was traumatized from the other place. But, she quickly adjusted and no longer gets upset going. In fact, she runs right in sometimes without even saying bye to me.
My daughter is a little bit speech delayed and could only say maybe a dozen words. She could not even put two words together. Within three weeks of attending IVyHedge, my daughter is counting to ten. She puts three to five words together. She communicates with me and I can see it brings her so much joy that I can understand her. She knows all of her colors, is starting to identify shapes. She knows her animals.
I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. I drop her off and don't worry about her because I know she is in the best possible hands. She loves going here and I hope she stays until it's time to switch to elementary school.
I am so so so pleased with IvyHedge and Melissa has been so helpful and patient. She truly runs an amazing facility and I am forever grateful for all of the staff. They are always smiling, holding the childrens hands, carrying them. You can tell they truly have a passion for children and treat them like their own.
Thank you IvyHedge, Melissa, Miss Cindy, and all of the staff for welcoming my daughter in and loving her! We love you guys. :)
