General Info
I have been playing USTA Tournament tennis since the age of eight and have been a Tennis Instructor since 1992. I currently have a 5.0 NTRP Rating. My instructor experience includes full time staff positions in Michigan, southern California, and Colorado where I was responsible for teaching adult, junior, group, and team programs at local athletic clubs and tennis academies. I currently develop, organize and run all junior and adult tennis programs in the city of Oakhurst, California which includes private lessons, semi-private lessons, group clinics and team competition training seven days a week. I was also the Assistant Head Coach for the Yosemite High School Varsity Boys Tennis Team and Varsity Girls Tennis Team throughout the 2012 season. My responsibility was to carry out the directives of the Head Coach on a daily basis and to ensure that team instruction and training was maintained at the highest possible level. Technique drills, singles/doubles strategy instruction, conditioning training and team challenge matches were accomplished daily in order to prepare for upcoming league play. I personally coached and trained the team’s #1 and #2 boys & girls varsity singles players in 2012, and am currently the personal coach for the team’s #1 and #3 boys varsity singles players. My tennis clients range from six to sixty years of age and span the full spectrum of talent levels, from beginners who have never held a racquet to clients with forty or more years of playing experience and NTRP ratings of 4.0 or better. Multiple instruction techniques and training equipment is used depending upon the age and skill level of the client(s). This includes Quick Start; junior racquets for students under 10 years of age; directional control and hitting aids; various targets used to improve shot accuracy; and various strength and fitness equipment.
