Ball Western Can Company manufactures 3-piece welded cans and ends for various West Coast food packers and pet food packers. In 2004, Ball Corporation acquired Ball Western and the plant became part of its metal food container operations. The Ball Corporation is a provider of metal and plastic packaging, primarily for beverages and foods and of aerospace and other technologies and services to commercial and governmental customers. Founded in 1880, the company has headquarters in Broomfield, Colo. Built in 1988, Ball Western Can Company has headquarters in Oakdale, Calif.
