I had a clogged sink in a bathroom. Nothing major, but I didn't have a snake to run down the pipe. Flatt plumbing came out and said that my chrome pipes were "old" and they might "break" from running the snake. Before I new what was happening, the plumber sawed off my nice chrome piping from my wall and installed plastic white pipes. And this is all visible from the bathroom! I told them it was unacceptable so we went into his truck and rigged up a Frankenstein monster of chrome piping. What did have 2 junctions now had 6 !! And the dry wall was all jagged and gaping around where the stump of my previous nice chrome piping used to be. This took about 3 hours for him to do. He told me to go to Home Depot and find a "ceiling" cover to hide the dry wall mess. I called back the next day and they were short and terse. They did send the same guy back out and he simply put some ugly metal cover over the dry wall. You could spin it freely around the pipe and it was not even flush.
