I live on Oak Island and have eaten here several times. The food is excellent and the service great too. I try to eat there once a week.

While visiting Oak Island I was taken to Thai by the Sea. Not expecting great things from a Thai restaurant in the South, especially one at the beach, I was absolutely amazed at the quality of food and outstanding service. We visited again the following night and will continue to make this a ritual every time we come to the Oak Island area. This place is better than most of the expensive Thai restaurants in the Baltimore/Washington/Northern Virginia area.

I dined here off season while in Brunswick for work. The service was polite and attentive but it was the food that was amazing. I'm from LA and Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen. Who would have thought that the best Thai food I've ever tasted would be on a quaint island off of North Carolina. My business associate and I ate until we were stuffed then ordered even some dishes to-go, so we could have them for lunch the next day. So, if you are ever vacationing in the area forget the seafood restaurant and head for Thai by the sea!
