Had a really bad experience with this doll auction site. I would not trust them to honor their agreements/bids, etc. Have also purchased another item from them which was a reproduction and not stated as such. Beware!

I had decided to sell an Effanbee doll which had been in my family for over 70 years and had no idea where to do this. She was no longer a doll, but had become an antique. She also needed some help. The elastic was sagging and her hair (natural human hair) was a mess. The owner was friendly and helpful on the phone and in every email correspondence. I sent her the doll and everything that went with it. The doll was restrung, her hair combed, and dressed in one of the prettiest outfits for her photo shoot. I wish I had known about the sale in time to get her into the hard copy catalog, but that was bad timing on my part. I am very grateful to Frasher's for helping this doll find a new home and someone to love her.

Internet and phone buyers beware! I purchased an antique doll from a recent Frasher's Doll Auction via the internet. Thus, I had to rely on the description provided by Frasher's which indicated the doll body was in "excellent original condition". I thought there was a presumption of some accuracy here. Wrong! There is a split in her upper right arm, approximately 25 to 30% paint loss throughout, and rather crude filler around the neck hole extending about 1/3 down the entire front of the body. To make matters worse the doll has small chips to both the upper and lower lids of one eye which was not mentioned in the description and did not show in the pictures published at the auction site. I emailed pics to Frasher's with a complaint but received no reply. Of course with the auction disclaimer, I have no recourse with the exception of this writing.The doll is probably worth about half of what I ended up paying for her. Needless to say, I will not be frequenting any more Frasher's auction
