General Info

A Michigan native, Dr. Krochmal graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, and did his General Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He then completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then trained at the world-renowned Hunstad Kortesis Center in Charlotte where he learned advanced body contouring, breast, and facial aesthetic procedures. Dr. Krochmal is Board Certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. He is a member of prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is dedicated to his patients, and sits on the Patient Safety Committees for both ASPS and ASAPS. He is also passionate about issues such as patient care access, and sits on the Legislative Advocacy Committee for ASPS. He continues to be an active researcher to further the field of plastic surgery, and is engaged in projects involving DVT (blood clot) reduction following abdominoplasty, safety in buttocks fat grafting procedures, and outcomes for large volume liposuction for lipedema.
