• Primary Care
  Care management is a set of clinical services designed to assist a patient and his or her support system in best managing medical conditions and the behavioral and social problems that can arise from them.  At Michigan Kidney Consultants, your Care Manager will work with you in person, or telephonically, to help prevent or delay kidney disease progression through a personalized care plan.  Care management helps support your healthcare goals between your visits with your Nephrologist and Nurse Practitioners.  Support may include post hospitalization follow up, educational materials, medication management, collaboration with primary care and other specialists, blood pressure management, diabetic support, recommendations for community resources, and advanced care planning.
• Emergency Care
  With a medical home, you and your team will work together. As an active member of the team, you will have a chance to explain the things that are really important to you.

Internists

• Internal Medicine
  Dr. Al-Saghir is a licensed medical doctor in the state of Michigan since 1991. Dr. Al-Saghir is board certified by the ABIM, American Board of Internal Medicine, in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Al-Saghir has been Principal Investigator (PI) for clinical trials/ research studies for Michigan Kidney Consultants, P.C. (MKC) since 2001. He has been PI for more than 50 research studies including non-dialysis dependent & dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD) studies for investigational product, questionnaires & more recently a device trial.
