General Info

Experience: 18 years as a private educator (tutor); 2 years full-time classroom teacher at high school and middle school levels. Length and Frequency of Sessions: My sessions are typically one hour long. Depending on the needs of the student, sessions can occur once or twice a week; or on an as-needed basis. Location: I meet students primarily in the Novato public library (main branch). In certain circumstances I can meet students in their home. Qualifications: Current California high school teaching credentials in physical science and mathematics from Dominican University. College degree: bachelor of arts in physics from San Francisco State University. Enrichment: In addition to helping students excel in math, chemistry or physics, I am happy to provide enrichment to elementary and middle school students who would like more from their math or science class. Family Math: I also enjoy meeting with parents and child to involve them all in games and activities that can be done at home. Success: I am very successful at both the remedial level and Advanced Placement level. I work at raising students' self confidence which has a direct and positive impact on their grades and overall success with math or science.
