Dr. Philip O. Coakley Middle School offers various educational programs and extracurricular activities and is located in Norwood, Mass. It is affiliated with the Norwood Public Schools, and provides classes to students in grades six through eight. It has a professional staff department of visual arts, computer, language arts, music, social science, math, science, foreign language, career education, reading, physical education and special education. The school has a library that supports the school curriculum and assists students in the use of current and appropriate information, and encourages reading as a lifetime activity. The school also offers various special services that include counseling, learning center, resource room special education, life skills, student support, clubs and organization, sports activities, grants and aides.
