Three Rivers Community College is one of the leading educational institutions in the United States. Founded by a merger of Thames Valley State Technical College and Mohegan Community College, it has been operational for more than 15 years. The college has been approved by the Connecticut Board of Governors for Higher Education and New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is affiliated with the American Association of Community Colleges, American Association of University Women, and American Association of Women in Community Colleges. Three Rivers Community College offers courses in various academic areas, such as accounting, architectural design technology, aviation maintenance, banking, business administration, civil engineering, photonics, computer applications, natural sciences, criminal justice, and early childhood education. The college also offers courses in fire technology and administration, hospitality management, human services, liberal arts and sciences, marketing, nursing, and Web design and development. It is located in Norwich, Conn.
