The Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk is a local public agency, providing affordable housing and supportive services to eligible persons with limited incomes, through a variety of federal, state, local and private resources. Based in Norwalk, Conn., the authority assists housing and community development programs. It also offers students from first through twelfth grades with after school tutoring and homework assistance in math, reading, science, computer, social studies, sports and writing through its learning centers. The Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk achieved the 2010 Award of Excellence from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).
