Operational since 1969, SUNCOM Industries operates as a human services agency that helps people with developmental and physical disabilities. Its list of programs offered includes Community Integrated Employment Services (CIES), vocational rehabilitation, mobile workforce, custom car care center and community unity program. Member of the United Way, the organization also provides production services such as shrink wrapping, collating, light assembly, custom packaging, direct mailings, l-sealing, labeling and stamping. It serves more than 450 people in two vocational rehabilitation facilities, three adult training programs, two Community Unity sites and a supported placement program.
