The Northport Administrative Department is staffed by the city administrator, city administrator's assistant, civic center coordinator and the city s human resources director. The city administrator is the head of the administrative department of Northport, Ala. The city administrator is responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of Northport. Duties include enforcement of all city laws and ordinances. The administrator is responsible for the supervision and control over all officers, employees, offices, departments, boards and agencies of Northport. The city administrator is also responsible for keeping the council advised on the financial conditions and needs of the municipality.
