We stayed at this motel many times over 20 years and were always VERY satisfied. It was always filled to capacity too. The beach is beautiful and peaceful. In 2012, we booked a different room (SITE-UNSEEN), and was disappointed. Very dirty bedspread, floors, walls, bathroom, and broken futon with questionable stains . Yes, they came and cleaned in a half-hearted attempt. And they fixed the futon, after argueing that it wasn't really broken. I don't want to haggle after I spend $1000.00 for a room. Waterfront Management is very nice when they're taking your credit card, but rude and condesending when you voice a complaint. The manager told me "we just cleaned that room three months ago". What? The patio furniture is in bad shape and has been for years. The owners need to lose Waterfront Management. The entire property was 98% vacant the whole week we were there. Now I certainly understand why! What a sham and what a shame! View your room, in person, before you spend your $1000.00!
