Was very please and surprised with the Best Western Hotel in Mankato. Next time I'll bring my own pillow, did not care for them. It was a very clean hotel and family friendly. Lots of kids and yet the hotel was quiet.

This turned out to be a very large motel, but the many entrances and parking made it easy to get to your room no matter where you ended up. The staff was great, the wifi above average and the breakfast was competitive with other motels. The location was away from heavy traffic but only a short distance from the freeway. There were a couple of restaurant choices withing walking distance. It was also near a bike trail.

I usually never write reviews, but this time I felt compelled to do so. I would never reccommend this Hotel, especially if renting the Banquet Room. They'll try to get you to pay more than what is agreed on in the contract and are not considerate. Our wedding reception there was one big headache. The day of the wedding we couldn't access the dance floor part until after 3pm because of something else they scheduled. It caused major problems for us and our DJ equipment. The wedding was at 6pm so we had to scramble last minute to get other people to decorate since we were unable to be in two places at once (getting pictures done and hair appointments - oh and the actual wedding ceremony). We were able to decorate and access the tables during the day of the wedding "as long as we were very quiet". On an earlier occassion (after the contract was already signed) I witnessed the management staff being very rude to other customers and vendors that came to the hotel. I wish we had known better
