North Kingstown Town Manager is one of the city departments of Rhode Island. Appointed by the town council, the manager oversees the administrative affairs and enforces city laws and ordinances. It also looks after the conduct and performance of several administrative functions and services, financial conditions and future needs of the city. The department s various divisions include budget and finance, personnel, economic development, environment and planning, codes and standards, safety and security, health, education, human services, and housing agencies. Located in North Kingstown, R.I., it also deals in matters relating to taxes, revenues and expenditures, policy implementation, employee relations, benefits, grievance procedures, and equal opportunity provisions. Additionally, the department handles activities involving construction and maintenance of roads, sewers, and other infrastructure, public buildings and grounds, housing code issues, and solid waste management.
