Provided by YP.comI’m truly disappointed with Rio Tile. I have remodeled no less than 10 homes in the last 3 years, and I’m not a novice. I have never written a bad review on any of the business or sub-contractors I have worked with.
However, I feel that anyone working with Rio needs to be forewarned of their lack of integrity.
I worked with closely with Jorge at Rio on this newest project, and actually spent a very large sum of money on product (a little more than $30,000). Actually a great tile.
On delivery, which was an additional $850, a driveway lamp was broken. Turns out it was an expensive $300 fixture part. I spoke with Jorge and he said he would take care of it. The part actually took about 2 weeks to source. Once received and paid for, I returned to Jorge. Initially he said that he would give me a check. Later he blamed my contractor for guiding the delivery guys incorrectly.
It is NOT the $300 refund I’m concerned about. It really amounted to less than 1% of the purchase. What DOES matter is that Jorge blatantly lied to his customer. He backed away from his word when he realized that I would ask him to reimburse me for the error. When I called later he literally yelled at me, stating that he knew what it was like to run his business. I beg to differ. This is NOT how one should treat a customer. I’m writing this all for you in hopes that you will prevent you from making perhaps a more costly mistake, and perhaps more importantly saving you from a unprofessional business.
