Established in 1976, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of services. It works in partnership with private organizations and agencies to serve individuals and families. The Child Abuse Prevention Council s child death review team reviews the mortality rate of children under the of age 15 in Sacramento County, Calif. The organization s services include child protection system assessment, in-home support, substance abuse coalition and children's embassy planning. Additionally, it arranges general awareness programs for the public on various issues relating to child abuse and neglect.
