I've been staying at this motel for more than 30 years and always felt it was a good place to stay for the money. I called a couple of weeks ago to make a reservation for this past week end. (Aug. 3 and 4th) I was told the rate would be $75.00 per night, the highest rate I've ever paid. I asked for the senior discount and was told there was no discount on the week end. (first time I had heard that) Not that $10.00 is a lot of money, but when you're on a fixed income, every dollar counts. We were also suprised and disappointed upon returning to our room after our Saturday outing to find our room had not been serviced. The trash was still overflowing, no clean towels or bed linen. We have always been pleased with the service here, but not this time. We hope its not a trend.
